We bring together individuals and groups wanting to place power into communities. We deliver the training for people to take control of their future and that of their communities.
We provide alternative solutions for welfare-to-work, helping people to improve their employability. We work WITH jobseekers to create employment.
Our Community Routes into Employment project seconds unemployed volunteers to community organisations provided that it is of mutual benefit to both the placement provider and the volunteer/trainee. A similar project for social enterprises is operated by Social Enterprise Link (Wessex) CIC which is one of a number of not-for-profit organisations that support us through The Community Empowerment Co-operative Consortium. Collectively, the consortium members provide support services to social enterprises and donate from profits to the charity, helping to fund our charitable work.
We specialise in co-operative and mutual structures and governance for social enterprises and mutual-self-help for community development needs whilst another not-for-profit member of the consortium, Co-operative Education Solutions CIC provides bespoke training based upon co-operative education methods.
